There are two things I will always say yes to: a themed party and an excuse to gather my favorite girls around good food and cocktails. This year’s Galentine’s celebration combined both and honestly? I may never recover from how fun it was!
While I’ve never been a massive Valentine’s Day gal, Galentine’s is a holiday I get so excited for. There is something so special about having a night to celebrate women’s friendships, carve out time together, and letting a girls’ night be exactly what it’s meant to be. The kind where you yap about everything under the sun, cackle until you have tears streaming down your face, and everyone leaves feeling a little more full—in every sense of the word.
This year, I really wanted to lean into that. An intentional night centered around friendship, fun, and went beyond just a regular Galentine’s theme. And what better way to do that than with a Wicked-themed Galentine’s party?! Inspired by the iconic green and pink color palette and brought to life through themed cocktails, festive food (including a yellow brick road charcuterie board hello?!), whimsical decor, and a vibe that felt equal parts cozy and celebratory.
If you’re looking for a Galentine’s party idea that feels unique and whimsical, then this one’s for you. Below, I’m breaking down everything—from the menu and signature drinks to decor links, playlists, games, and hosting tips—so you can recreate it (or put your own spin on it) too!

The Wicked Galentine’s Theme 💚💗
The heart of this party was the Wicked theme—emerald greens paired with soft pinks—playing off the idea of good witch vs. wicked witch. I wanted it to feel both somehow bright and girly yet moody, so I leaned into soft pink florals contrasted with dark emerald green tablecloths and black candles.
My planning started with a mood board to map out:
- The color palette
- Table styling ideas
- Food presentation inspiration
Seeing everything laid out visually made it much easier to stay cohesive while shopping and prepping (and to use what I had to not go overkill). When it came together on party day, it felt playful, magical, and really added to the vibe I was trying to create with the theme.
The Menu: Wicked-Inspired Food
My inspo for the menu was purely color based – thinking about what foods are naturally green and pink, and filtering down from there. I also wanted to actually hang with my girls, so each recipe was designed to be make-ahead friendly, which made hosting so much more enjoyable. Going for more of an apps + dessert menu vs massive menu also allowed me to be more present in the festivities. Here’s what I served:
- Yellow Brick Road Charcuterie – more on this below, this was the centerpiece of the table and the star of the show!
- Whipped Ricotta Dip – I used this as the base to both dips, splitting half to be green, half to be pink
- Green Goddess Ricotta Dip – add fresh basil, chives, dill or parsley to the base ricotta dip and blend until smooth
- Beet Ricotta Dip – add 1-2 cooked beets (depending on how pink you want it) to the base ricotta dip and blend until smooth
- Strawberry Matcha Tiramisu – A pink-and-green prep ahead dessert that felt festive and indulgent.
- Signature Cocktails:
- The Ozmopolitan
- “The Wicked Witch” Cucumber Margarita

Signature Cocktails
No Galentine’s party is complete without a signature drink—or two. I prepped these in advance so I wouldn’t have to play bartender all night, but so my girls could still have something a bit more special and elevated. I LOVED having a pink and green option to see who would choose good witch vs wicked witch energy. Both recipes below make about 4 servings per pitcher.

The “Ozmopolitan”
A Wicked-inspired twist on a classic cosmopolitan, this cocktail brought the pink side of the theme to life. It was light, slightly tart, and an instant crowd-pleaser. I used Ina Garten’s signature recipe, with a slight tweak due to personal preference.
To a pitcher, add:
- 2 cups vodka
- 1 cup Cointreau
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (~3 lemons)
The Wicked Witch (Cucumber Margarita)
This one leaned fully into the green. Cool, refreshing, this cucumber margarita was the perfect balance to the sweeter cocktail. It also would make a fantastic spicy cocktail with a muddled jalapeño slice.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cucumber juice (about 4 small Persian cucumbers)
- ½ cup lime juice (about 4 limes)
- 1 cup 100% agave silver tequila
- ½ cup agave or simple syrup
- ½ cup elderflower liqueur

Directions:
- Peel the cucumbers and cut into 1” chunks. Add to a blender with a few tbsps of water and blend until smooth. Strain into a glass measuring cup.
- Add the cucumber juice, lime juice, tequila, elderflower liqueur, and simple syrup to a pitcher. Stir in ¾ cup water to account for dilution (since batched cocktails aren’t shaken with ice). Refrigerate until ready to serve. When ready, pour into ice filled cocktail glasses. Garnish with a cucumber ribbon and lime wheel.
The Yellow Brick Road Charcuterie Board
If there was one true showstopper of the night, it was the Yellow Brick Road charcuterie board. It acted as a centerpiece for the table and really tied the whole theme together. I used cut cheddar cheese for the “yellow brick road” in the middle, and then chose pink and green food items to line each side. This was honestly such a great low effort, high reward dish as it kept us fed throughout the night without actually having to cook anything.

Green Side:
- Green & purple grapes
- Cucumbers
- Snap peas
- Celery
- Blue corn chips & Guacamole (on the side)
- Green Goddess Whipped Ricotta
Pink Side:
- Raspberries
- Salami, prosciutto
- Strawberry yogurt covered almonds
- Strawberry pocky sticks
- Pink heart sour patch
- Beet Whipped Ricotta
Strawberry Matcha Tiramisu
I had so many ideas for what would be fun for an on theme dessert, but just KNEW a cute tiramisu in personal cocktail coupe glasses was going to take the cake.
Since I’ve been loving my strawberry matcha lattes, I knew the flavors would work, and thanks to blended freeze dried strawberries I got the color to pop too.
You can make this in coupe glasses like I did, or a regular glass baking dish, just be sure to let it fully sit overnight.

Decor & Tablescape
When I host a dinner party, you know I’m going all out on the food always, but this time I wanted to go all out on the decor too. I wanted the apartment to feel magical as soon as you walked in, almost like you were stepping into Oz. It was so fun playing around with a mix of colors, textures, florals, and little details that made the night extra special. I added everything I used to created the theme here to make it easy for you to recreate the look!

Here’s what I used:
- Emerald green tablecloths & light pink runners
- Gold bud vases and lots of pink florals
- Plates, napkins, and glassware
- High Camp Flasks in emerald and pink to keep our rose nice and chilled (use ROCKINMEALS15 for 15% off!)
- Candles and candle holders
- Bubble decor and whimsical accents (bows everywhere, even on the wine glasses – a cheap way to add a nice touch)
- Gold frames & custom signage I made in Canva and printed at CVS (click each image for a free download!)
Vibes & Activities
With my group of gals, there is no shortage of entertainment and conversation, but I wanted to add a few activities that made this feel more unique than a regular girls night. I chose to do trivia as our activity as a way of learning something new about each other, which was such a fun added bonus!
Galentine’s Trivia Game
For an interactive moment, I hosted a trivia game using Mentimeter that ended up being one of the highlights of the night.
Before the party, each girl anonymously submitted five trivia questions about herself. I randomized the questions, and throughout the game we had to guess which friend each question was about. It was funny, chaotic, and surprisingly sweet—such an easy way to celebrate everyone in the room.
If you’re looking for a low-pressure game that works for any group size, this one is a win.

Playlist
One part of hosting I will never overlook is a good playlist – it can set the tone just as much as the decor. Aside from adding a few Wicked soundtrack songs to the playlist of course, I curated a gals only Galentine’s playlist that kept the vibe girly pop and fun just how we like it!
Hosting Tips + Prep Timeline
One of the reasons this party felt so stress-free was prepping as much as possible in advance. Here’s how I broke it down:
1-2 Days Before
- Make both ricotta dips
- Make the tiramisu
- Batch the cocktails
- Finalize decor and table layout (doing this helped me figure out I was short on cocktail glasses so I could phone a friend in advance)
Morning Of
- Decorate & set up the table
- Set up the bar area with cocktail and wine glasses
- Wash and cut produce for the charcuterie board
- Buy florals!
Before Guests Arrive
- Assemble charcuterie board
- Set out dips and snacks
- Start the playlist!

My biggest hosting takeaway? Choose recipes that allow you to actually enjoy your own party. Make-ahead dishes are everything.
Final Thoughts
Hosting a themed Galentine’s doesn’t have to be overwhelming to feel special. At the end of the day, whether you have a Galentine’s with 2 of you or 10 of you, it’s all about the company you choose. Selecting even just 1-2 of these ideas can make a Galentine’s memorable to give back to the friendships that give us so much!
Whether you recreate this Wicked Galentine’s party exactly or just borrow a few ideas, I hope it inspires you to gather your people and celebrate them loudly. If you host your own version, I’d love to see it 🤍 comment below or DM me some pics on Instagram!
