Strawberry Yogurt Drink

I’ve historically never been a big breakfast gal. For years, it was just a tall mug of coffee and I was on my way — until last year, when I made a conscious effort to increase my protein intake. That’s when I realized how hard it is to hit a protein goal if you skip breakfast entirely. Starting my day with something protein-forward not only helps me feel more energized, but also keeps me full and keeps me from mindlessly snacking throughout the day.

Greek yogurt bowls have long been one of my go-to breakfasts – they’re high in protein, quick to throw together, and a great source of fiber. But let’s be honest: sometimes you just get the yogurt ick. That moment when the idea of taking one more spoonful makes you recoil. Anyone else or just me?

When that happens, I’m so grateful to have these yogurt drinks waiting in the fridge.

They’re creamy, refreshing, incredibly delicious, and perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast or pre-workout protein boost. Best of all, they’re endlessly customizable based on whatever fruit you’re craving or what’s in season. If you’re someone who struggles to eat breakfast consistently, this is one of my favorite meal-prep tricks to guarantee protein first thing in the morning.

Why You’ll Love This Yogurt Drink

  • High in protein
  • Takes 5 minutes or less to make
  • Perfect for meal prep
  • Customizable flavors year-round
  • Easy to drink when solid food feels like too much

Ingredient Breakdown

You only need 4 ingredients and a blender to make these yogurt drinks.

Plain Greek Yogurt

This is the protein base of the recipe. Any brand here works, choose your favorite!

  • If using sweetened yogurt, simply omit the added sweetener below.

Liquid

A small amount of liquid helps everything blend smoothly. The amount will depend on how thick your yogurt is and how thick you want your drink.

  • Start with ⅓ cup, then add more as needed.

Good options include:

  • Coconut water or water
  • Almond milk, oat milk, or regular milk

Strawberries

Fresh strawberries are my go-to here. I like to roughly chop them first so they blend more smoothly.

Other flavor variations you can try:

  • Mixed berry
  • Peach
  • Mango
  • Blueberry
  • Strawberry banana
  • Chocolate (add an extra scoop of chocolate protein powder)

Sweetener

Use maple syrup, honey, or your preferred sweetener.

  • The amount will depend on the sweetness of your fruit and your personal preference.
  • Omit entirely if using sweetened yogurt.
