Spooky season is upon us, and what better way to partake than with these Evil Eye Martinis, a festive cocktail that’s as visually striking as it is tasty. With my signature lychee martini recipe as the base, but paired with blueberry stuffed lychee “eyeballs”, this drink is perfect for your Halloween party or a spooky night in passing out candy.
I first made these for my friend’s bachelorette party in New Orleans for her “Death to Her Last Name” festive bash and they were a HIT. The garnish of the “eyeballs” is inspired by this Mad Eye Martini by Serious Eats with the clever inspiration of turning lychee, blueberry, and jam into an easy garnish resembling an eyeball. I then pair it with my signature lychee martini recipe that is always a crowd pleaser! Spooky, tasty, customizable to what each gal wanted, and easily batchable to make for a crowd! If you are making for a crowd, I recommend keeping the mixture in a pitcher, but still shaking with ice when ready to serve as the cream of coconut can tend to separate. To scale the recipe up, see below:
For Batch Lychee Martinis (6 servings):
- 1½ cups lychee juice
- 1½ cups vodka or gin
- 3–6 Tbsp cream of coconut
Key Ingredients:
- Lychee juice (not from a can of lychees – that is way too sweet). You can find these at Asian grocery stores or International aisles of major grocery stores.
- Cream of coconut – Coco Real is the brand you will most likely come across, it comes in a squeeze bottle and can be found in most liquor stores.
- Alcohol – something neutral works best here, I like either vodka or gin.
- Canned lychees – these are strictly for your garnish, you can find them at Asian grocery stores or International aisles of major grocery stores or even on Amazon.

Evil Eye Martini

- Yield: 1
Description
Sip on a spooky and festive Evil Eye Martini this Halloween, featuring lychee, vodka, and a creepy blueberry eyeball garnish for a fun Lychee martini for Halloween parties or hanging at home watching Hocus Pocus!
Ingredients
For the Lychee Martini:
- 2oz lychee juice (I like Calpico)
- 2 oz vodka or gin
- ¼ – ½ oz cream of coconut (Coco Real)
- Ice
For Garnish:
- Canned lychees, drained
- Blueberries
- Berry jam (any kind)
Instructions
For the Lychee Martini:
- Place martini glasses in the freezer to chill.
- Start by making your “eyeball” garnish. Add a little bit of berry jam inside the lychee and place the blueberry inside. The jam will act as the “blood” around the eyes. Skewer the “eyeballs” onto a cocktail pick and set aside.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the lychee juice, vodka or gin, and ¼ – ½oz of cream of coconut depending on preferred sweetness. Shake well until cold.
- Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with the “eyeballs”. Enjoy!
